Lil June Getaway to Malaysia

Pardon me for the late entry on my trip to Malaysia in June: Cameron-Genting-KL! Here you go! (:

My short getaway trip in June, to Malaysia, proved to be a test of hardcore series of turning of the winding roads up and down, in the highlands. This trip was planned 3 months ago and I was so looking forward to this trip ever since. Haha!

Thank God for the smooth transition thru customs and the smooth traffic flow in both Singapore and Malaysia. Thank God for safety and protection when we were busy playing hard there.

We had decided not to go Free & Easy bcos we simply din know the way around. The tour was a good choice and we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves, totally! Fed ourselves silly with the numerous dishes at mealtimes.

Our tour guide (: always having to wait for us!

The hotels we stayed were good, the weather was cool, the shopping was fun, the activities were fulfilling and the tour group was a fun bunch too!

Day 1
5.30am: Arrived at Golden Mile Complex, waiting to board coach.
6am: Board coach and left for 2nd Link, after some confusion with the seating arrangements.
7am: Cleared Malaysian customs and headed to Yong Peng for some breakfast!
8am: At Yong Peng, eating Crystal Jade Bakery bread for breakfast. (No, Malaysia dun have Crystal Jade lah, Cher Hao's mum bought us some bread the day b4 we left ;p)
9am: Back on the road towards Cameron Highlands.
12 Noon: Stopover at Sungei Buloh, for a quick KFC lunch and some Dunkin' Donuts!
1 - 4.30pm: Still heading up to Cameron, sleeping all the way up to Hotel Equatorial Cameron!

Unpack & Rest! Scenery video~
6pm: Dinner at nearby eatery, 10-course dinner consisting of soup, veg, meat, fish and dessert.
7pm: Headed to the local pasar malam* (night market) for some lil shopping! Bought some pretty flowers for only RM$3 and raw honey with a lil honeycomb inside, for RM$15.

9.30pm: Back in hotel room!

[We discovered that all packed tidbits were puffed up like this above, due to the higher sea level we were on, and in a less dense atmosphere. LOL! Waste space sia....]

Day 2
8.30am: Rushed breakfast (bcos we overslept)....

Lotsa food for breakfast, a pity my stomach was still asleep ):

Headed to the Strawberry Farm, where we could pluck our own stawberries, instead of the usual packed ones. Instead, I just went to buy the packed fresh and dried strawberries and Cameron's renowned big and juicy corn!
9.30am: Next, to Honey Bee Farm, to check out the hardworking bees and the start of massive photo-taking!

Bees at work Video

Harvesting the honey
Clear breathtaking scenery behind us =)

Terrain hills to grow flowers and other crops. Reminds me of Ms Elizabeth Chua teaching us Geography in Lower Sec.

10.30am: Next up, Rose Valley Garden to check out the pretty flowers and more pics with them!

Carrying "balls"? LOL!
Many many pretty flowers!

Fave pic~!

12 Noon: Lunch at Kowloon Hotel Restaurant, an 8-course meal consisting of soup, veg, meat, fish, prawns and fruits. The food there was the best we've ate for the whole trip. Got hotel standard one.
1pm: Arrived at Cactus Valley, took many interesting pics with the thorny-sharp plants there!

Pokey cactus in different shapes and sizes!

Tongkat Ali is widely and readily available in Malaysia. LOL! Now we know what they like to do in their free time.

2.30pm: Back to hotel to rest. Very tired from all the photo-taking already.
While lying on the bed, there was a shower of rain, and we literally saw the rain falling from the rain clouds. SO COOL!! Hence we ended up taking more pics of the rain, clouds and the great scenery from our hotel room balcony!

"There is a castle on the clouds~ I wanna go there in my sleep~"
Clear skies up in Cameron Highlands.

5.30pm: Off for steamboat dinner at Brinchang Town.
Steamboat dinner =p -yummy-

Steamboat dinner aftermath! 10 hungry Singaporeans~

[Very amusing, I know. Cher Hao suggested taking pics of it, but I was the photographer = every1 thought I was the weird sua ku girl lah -.-! Surprisingly it's very clean, as compared to Singapore's, I reckon.]

Speaking of whom, the beloved retard himself:

7.30pm: Back to hotel to rest!
