Other nicks of hers include Crispy, Dead Cloud, Vege Head*(say in Hokkien) and more. Since we are nice people, we call her simply Shi Yun ^^v

Happy Birthday to you~~

Time sure flies man! Known her since Secondary 3, though we were not very good frenz back then. Reasons being, we had different cliques and she din really like my attitude then =\ Only my buddies and sister know what I was like, during my teenage years. Okok, I'm starting to sound real old now.



-counting my fingers- Geez! It's been like... this is the 7th year of our friendship, alongside with Alvin, Madeline, Cher Hao and Ying Xi! So much memories, both good and bad ones, yet too lil time to write them all down. Haha!


We find pleasure in behaving like retard kids occasionally =)

We were so crazy about taking neoprints, playing volleyball and netball, sitting at the usual spot in the school canteen talking nonsense and many more. Poly days were especially crazier for us both, since we went to the same poly together - Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

It was mainly due to your rash decision for company in the same school, and of cos seeing how pitiful I was all alone in Engineering school. LOL! If you had went on to study in Nanyang Polytechnic, I think our friendship story with the rest would have been quite different today =D

Went thru all kinds of schoolmates, classmates, idiotic modules and lecturers, BGR issues, backstabbing and other painful lessons of life. Not forgetting, we became good frenz with Han Ping too! Certainly poly days were fun, but I dare say that it can't compare with the not-so-fun days.

At least we had lotsa K-Box sessions, chillouts and movies, lunches and dinners, shopping and more shopping together, very memorable birthday celebrations and the lil smses sent to our dearest buds. You guys are so dear to me =)

Now, all of us are either slogging our guts out for that miserly amount of monthly survival cash, or simply furthering our studies in the different universities now. I hope that one day, you too, can further your studies in doing something you really find passion and a future in.

After going thru much thick and thin together -ok, its starting to sound cheesy-, you know that we are always here for you, giving you the moral support you ever needed. All of us are quite different in character and personality, and I can say that we both are quite opposite!

She is the gu-niang* (ladylike) girl, I'm the garung* (fierce) one. She is the shopping queen, I'm the thrifty one. p.s: dun apply for credit cards hor! She can cry at the slightest joke or touching scene, I need more that just that.

She is super patient, I'm the impatient one. She is always punctual for appointments, I'm the Late Queen. She is the Chinese-speaking girl, I'm the English-speaking one. She eats lil, I eat alot. The list can just go on forever man.

You see, I'm glad we are so different bcos that's how we learnt to accept each other's differences and yet still can remain as buddies =) and NO, you are not FAT!! You are just right for your size hor. Dun think of slimming down anymore, else you'll look real weird lor.

Most of all, I'm glad you have greatly enjoyed the lil birthday celebration we have planned for you =) It sure made me and Ying Xi quite stressed for the past month, but looking at how the day ended off so well... Every drop of sweat and blood is worth it ^^

We are very glad that we got to know John slightly better this time round. Hopefully he will be game enough to join us for further gatherings if possible. Haha! Really hope that you will be happy always, today Sept 11th marks the day you officially step into adulthood. Responsibilities and committments will be added on, so hang on tight! Jiayou!!!

10 Weird Things About Me

Ok, this peculiar game has been going on for some time and it kinda reached me. Since I've been tagged by Priscilla, my dear SHSS choir junior, I shall comply to try to complete this. I mean, how difficult can this be...

Instructions: Each player of this game starts off with TEN weird habits or little known things about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own TEN weird or little known facts about yourself as well as state this rules clearly. At the end, you must choose 6 people to tag and list their names.

1. Whenever I cannot get to sleep at night, I will talk to my sister. But when she is sleeping like a dead log, I dun talk to myself (other than praying to God). I do sit-ups to tire myself out. In the end I get more awake than before. So it becomes a routine to stare and stone at the ceiling after the sit-ups. Sure enough I fall asleep, but only after 1 hour =)

2. I may always appear fierce and stern to people, but actually I'm a soft-hearted person. Sometimes, putting on a brave front helps when you are in a situation where crying just doesn't help. That means, I'm a nice girl ^^

3. I used to like *NSync, the next coolest boyband in America, after BackStreet Boys. However, due to stupid circumstances, they disbanded and only Justin Timberlake is currently the most successful solo singer outta the now-defunct band.

Let me make this clear to you guys, liking *NSync doesn't equal to just liking Justin Timberlake. I dun adore and worship that botak* (bald) dude, then a curly-haired boy. Yes, JT's songs are great, I even use one of his songs as my ringtone. BUT, *NSync still rock my socks, not just 1/5 of it: JT.

4. I kept all my past years' organisers, for fun and memories. Certain appointments and events that have impacted my life back then, continues to remind me when I open them. This is called for future references. Sometimes outta the blue, some frenz attempts to rake up past nonsense to annoy me and would accuse me for some past appointments that I failed to turn up.. However, when I turn to that precious and old organiser, hahaha~ I win!

5. I like my bed to be surrounded with pillows, so I can sleep in cushion comfort. LOL! To date, I got 5 already.

6. Sneezing out loud (SOL) is not an unglam thing to do, even to girls. I prefer to SOL than pinching your nose and attempting to snuffle that sneeze. You sneeze bcos your nose detected dust and all kinds of particles that isn't good for your lungs. You snuffle your sneeze is like keeping the germs back into your lungs! Well, at least that's my stupid theory man. So girls, dun be shy ok, juz SOL. AAAAAHHHHHHCCCCHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

7. Long bus/train/car/ferry rides always give me bad migraine, not motion sickness. However when I take long plane rides, that doesn't happen. I wonder if it is bcos the travel ticket price actually affect my grey matter. Higher price = better brain state, lower price = migraine?

8. I always have stomachache after drinking Starbucks' Fraps =\ Doesn't happen to Coffee Bean, TCC etc though.

9. I'm not a morning kid. I talk super lil during the 1st 2 hours after I wake up. Yes I know, that's hard to believe that Julia dun talk at times.

10. I believe in this proverb strongly, "You reap what you sow." In all matters of life, there is sure to be consequences/rewards for the outcome you gave to the initial situation. Some say its called the Cause and Effect thing, or retribution or karma. Whatever it is, if you grow apples, you will get apples only, not oranges or pears.

11. I like to bathe just before I go to bed. Yes, I know there is a high chance I'd get rhethethism when I'm older, with the bones aching when chilly or cold weather comes along. I'm starting to feel the mild effects already though. But I like to smell fresh before entering lalaland. No choice.

Yes! Finally done after 1 long hour! That was a lil tough initially to start off, ended up with 1 extra point. LOL! Alrites, time to sabo people to do this too. "Eh, will the Real Slim Shady please stand up, please stand up, please stand up"* (Eminem's Real Slim Shady 2001)

Banquet, Mugging, Buddies

I know my blog has been so empty lately. Been very busy especially during the weekends and this week, and next week will be too. Haha! Had wanted to post an entry on Monday, but dunno why Blogger suddenly screwed up and even continued to deny me blogging access on Tuesday. Sighs.

VFC Youth Banquet last Friday, 31.08.07, was quite a blast at Suntec City, Olio Dome. The theme was Formal. A vague theme. Nevertheless, everyone was dressed up to the nines and we looked so different from the usual net sessions, Saturday's Edge and Sunday services =)

Had class on Saturday afternoon and I must say, its a dread studying on a nice Saturday. Sacrificing your beauty sleep and be a nerd is just so irritating lah! I decided to be good and continue mugging for revision at the airport, alone. I have slacked far too much and I feel super guilty already. Sunday was a packed day, as usual, yet I'm lovin' it~

Oh yes, Ying Xi's new house, or rather new condo is just so absolutely breathtaking! I went to help her family to move their stuff to their new house. Wheet~ Once you enter the main door, you see the beautiful sea view and it was so cool! Nice interior design too, contemporary style, black and white furnishing.

Decided to go ECP with Janice and Simon for cycling on Tuesday. Brought Janice along to Ying Xi's house since I was carrying lotsa bags for stayover and the birthday bbq. Reminded her to be prepared for the cool sea view. I reckon she din quite believe me even as we took the lift to the 29th floor.

As the main door opened, you should have seen that lady's reaction. Miss Janice literally stoned in front of the living room window lah. Took a video and pictures and continued to stone. She mentioned that she was intrigued by the sea view and all. LOL! Enough said, will upload those pictures soon =)

Shi Yun's advanced 21st birthday celebration was great fun. Thank you Ying Xi, for the mad planning process we had for the past 1 month. We almost died of frustration, severe hair loss, body aches, panic attacks and more. -winks to yx- Hahaha!

Thanks to her entire family for allowing us use the condo's bbq pit (so windy and no mozzies at all), her bedroom where we played Twister and twisted like retards, racked our brains for the murderer in Cluedo, watching that too-many-songs-in-a-movie, DreamGirls and letting me stay over for 2.5 days =)

Its a whole new learning experience yet again. A pat on our shoulders. Love ya girl! Can you feel that big sense of achievement yet, my dear =) Next up, the dudes' birthdays!

Dear Alvin missed the entire birthday party due to work. Cheer up bro, I'll tell you all about it soon when we meet up for kopi session again =D Thanks Maddy for helping to get the birthday pressie for us too. Glad we managed to get to know John (Shi Yun's bf) and Robyn (Ying Xi's bf) even more in this birthday celebration.

Shall write more about the celebration another time, as I have lil time to blog of late. Pictures have not been uploaded yet either. Oh well, be patient my dears. Good stuff are always worth the long wait ^^v
